Ashfall Wardens
Ashfall Wardens is a proper time sink in the best sense. You recruit characters, learn their little quirks through dialogue, and slowly stitch together a broken order of protectors. The writing carries real personality — a couple of the companions genuinely made me laugh, which is rare on mobile.
Combat is turn-based and readable. You can auto-play trivial fights, but the boss encounters actually reward planning your skill order and party composition. Progression feels earned rather than handed out, and the skill trees give you room to build characters your own way.
On the technical side it's heavier than most games here, so expect the battery to notice. But the auto-save is generous and the load times are quick, so it fits fine into short bursts if you want.
