Coin Strike
Coin Strike is one of those games that looks simple in a screenshot and then eats your evening. You flick coins across a smooth board and try to land them in the right slots before the targets rearrange themselves. The physics feel weighty in a good way — a slightly too hard flick sends a coin skidding off the edge, and you learn to read that quickly.
What surprised me most was how well the one-thumb control works. You drag back, aim, release, and the whole thing responds instantly. There's no lag between your intent and what happens on screen, which is exactly what an arcade game like this needs. Levels get busier over time, adding moving barriers and tighter timing windows, but the game never feels unfair.
Sessions are short, which I appreciate. You can clear a few boards while waiting for coffee and put it down without feeling like you abandoned something halfway. The visual style is clean and readable even at low brightness, and battery drain during our week with it was modest compared to heavier 3D games.
