Battery anxiety is real when your phone is your only device for the day. So we ran a rough test: same phone, same brightness, an hour of each genre, and we noted the drop.

3D racing games were the worst offenders by a wide margin. Neon Drift League and similar titles push the GPU hard and warm the device, which itself increases drain. RPGs with detailed environments came next.

On the friendly end were 2D arcade and puzzle games. Coin Strike barely made a dent, and cozy sims like farming games were similarly gentle. Adventure games varied a lot depending on how much they lean on flashy visuals.

If you're trying to stretch a charge, a few habits help: drop your brightness a notch, turn off high-framerate modes if the game offers them, and stick to lighter genres when you're below twenty percent. None of this is glamorous advice, but it works.
