Games Built For Five Free Minutes
Not every game respects the reality of how phones get used. Sometimes you have three minutes in a lift lobby, and a game that demands a twenty-minute mission is useless to you.
The ideal short-session game saves your progress instantly, loads fast and gives you a complete little moment of fun before you put it down. Arcade titles nail this. So do certain puzzle games with bite-sized levels.
During testing, Coin Strike stood out here. You can clear a board or two and stop cleanly, with nothing hanging over you. Cozy sims work too, in a different way — you check in, do your daily tasks, and leave satisfied.
What I avoid recommending for short sessions are games with long unskippable intros or ones that punish you for leaving mid-match. Nothing sours a five-minute break faster than a loading screen longer than the fun.
